A diverse artist in both subject and media , he is self taught and equally comfortable in water colour, acrylic, and oil. Best known for his portrayals of the B.C. coast , from the pounding surf to the sheltered coves, from the rainforest to tide pools, the richness of nature's environment and its wildlife come alive in his works.<br>Originally trained as a biologist, his paintings are accurate, yet, through careful use of light, they are also sensitive depictions of the many moods of the mist-shrouded coastal landscape. His works have won awards in Canada, the US, and Europe, and has participated in shows throughout North America and as far afield as Hong Kong and Singapore.
