    Description

This GRAND PIANO keychain puzzle was made by the Bell company in UK in the early 50s.  With original card and solution on the back.  This rare puzzle is my personal favorite keychain puzzle design ever.  Only 40,000 were produced compared to up to 288,000 (or more) of other designs.  Easily broken, few have survived.
Although this has a loop under the leg for a keychain and is marketed as a "Keychain Puzzle",  there is no way you want to drop this in your pocket with those pointy legs, and it would quickly get broken.  The very first ball keychain puzzle was marketed in the 1939/1940 era and just a decade later the puzzles are no longer practical functional keychains, but nothing less than high art, amazing miniature plastic interlocking brain-teaser puzzles!
I've tried to show some of the moves to take the Grand Piano apart in the pictures.
    1. Slide the white keys and black keys forward
    2. Slide the top center piece back
    3. Slide the "black keys" only (the yellow piece in this case) to the left
    4. Slide the top center out removing the first piece
    5a. Lift black keys up,
    5b. Then out
    6a. Lift white keys up
6b.  Pull lower central piece forward and out
    7. Remove "white keys" piece downward
    8. Remove Side pieces
This is a vintage item from a large collection of British Keychain puzzles I will be putting up, including some of the rarest of the Bell company which were only ever produced by that company.  Many (but not all) of the cards or paper solution sheets that came with the puzzles have a date written on them in pen.  I believe this is the date they were bought as the dates are consistent with the time these were made.  Most of the dates are in 1952 and 1953 with one 1951 and one 1956. In general the cards are in unusually good condition for their age, but some have a few folds, so please look at the pictures closely for their condition and I am happy to answer any questions.  The 2 holes punched in the center of the card were used to attach the puzzle onto the card
    with a rubber band
    .
The puzzles are all complete, unbroken and in very good to excellent condition with any exceptions clearly specified.
    Combined shipping on multiple wins.
